Additionally, this ensures that I always have time for my family, which is extremely important to me.”

A native Virginian with a degree from Virginia Tech, Gary combined his love for design and drafting along with his administrative skills and founded Carter Home Builders, LLC, in 1999. A family man and avid outdoorsman, Gary’s philosophies on work and life have stood him well throughout his life and career.

“Personal service to my clients during the building process is my key to success; but even more important is excellent service after the sale, sometimes even after the warranty period has expired...” Those familiar with Gary Carter would expect no less of him. Gary works hard, and loves building houses and working with those for whom he is building. Many of his customers choose Gary to design and create their “last” home -- their ultimate place to live out their dreams.
